Years ago, Breakthroughs founder, Pauline Turton, a teacher, psychiatric nurse and counselor, became fascinated with brain skill research.
After many years of detailed study in this field, Pauline discovered the keys to successfully identifying the powerful link between your specific brain skills and the levels of happiness and success you will achieve in your career.
Based on this knowledge, experience, and research, Pauline founded Breakthroughs in 1995 and ever since has been helping clients match their strongest skills to the right career tasks in order to derive maximum fulfillment and success from their work.
Breakthroughs can help you achieve the very same thing in your career.
Breakthroughs uses a unique and effective combination of scientific assessments, professional career services, and expert career coaching options including:
All delivered in a personalized, one-to-one manner.
Naturally, every person has their own unique set of abilities and challenges. That’s why the Breakthroughs team uses these dynamic services to provide detailed, accurate data and individualized coaching to map out the right path for your future.
Pauline’s background in teaching, nursing, psychiatry and counselling gave her a unique background to begin research into how our brain skills dramatically affect job satisfaction.
Now Pauline leads a team that has helped thousands of people achieve their breakthrough.
At any given point Pauline can be found reading 6-10 books ranging from cognitive neuroscience and market development to the psychology of job satisfaction.
From an early age Matthew loved to help others, and now he gets paid to do just that.
Matthew is passionate about helping people find THE job. The one that matches their personality, values, priorities and skills. Matthew wakes up every day excited to get to work and loves everything about helping others (except the paperwork, there's no love for the mounds of paperwork).
When not in the office Matthew can be found seeking adventure with his wife and children, preferably on a mountain or in a kayak.
Voted most likely to cheer up your day, Andrea fearlessly fends off mountains of paperwork at the front desk. If you have a question, she's got the answer (and if not she'll find out!). After hours Andrea suffers from Scrapbook-itus (a contagious scrapbooking obsession). Her creations are magical. Pop by and ask and she’ll be more than happy to show you her latest project!
If there were resume writing Olympics, Suzanne would be reigning champion. Your job search can feel like a warzone and Suzanne isn’t afraid to jump in the trenches with you. Her 30 years of experience as a career councillor will help you sleep easier at night knowing you’ve got a pro on your side.
